It has a deep and intense ruby red colour. The aroma is wide and characterised by hints of ripe fruit and notes of spice. In the mouth it is harmonious, persistently intense and fine, of great body and structure.

100% Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese) red wine dry, “Pliocene lime-loam soils with fossil shells and oysters” at about 350m.N. The origin of Vino Nobile goes back to a centuries-long oenological tradition, where it was called “King of wines”. Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG is vinified exclusively in particularly good vintages. It is the top wine of the very down-to-earth and nice winemaking family Natalini. Form of education: Double Guyot. Harvest: second to third week of October. Ageing: Long fermentation on the macers with intensive re-immersion and infusion in the initial phase, long static rest in the final phase, controlled temperature of a maximum of 33° Celsius. Maturation time: 36 months in wooden barrels (40% in Slovenian oak barrels to 25 hl, 60% in small French oak barrels), overall a significantly higher proportion of new wood than in the little brother Vino Nobile. Refinement in the bottle: at least 8 months. Tasting note from the winery: “Deep ruby red, intense aromatics with fruity and particularly spicy-herbaceous notes, intense and balanced in the mouth, persistent in the palate and velvety. The wine is full-bodied and has structure. Matching fried, red meat, game and matured cheese”. This Reserva is a real long-distance runner! Please allow time for storage and always enjoy decanted. The European wine magazine VINUM lists our Le Bèrne Reserva vintage 2016 among the TOP OF TOSKANA “Inviting aromas of raspberries and lilacs, tobacco and leather; in the mouth gritty, the tannins powerful, the acidity robust, but also a lot of grinding, in the harmonious finish rich aromas of ripe cherries and spices. Successful.
